A Little Bit About Kim
I've been married for 27 years to my husband, Dave. I'm mom to one son, Jon, who is now 21 years old.
I work for the DeMotte Branch of the Jasper County Library System. I first worked at this library as a Clerk from August 1995 to May 1996. My family let me know that I was still needed as a stay at home mom so in the best interest of my family, I left the library.
In January 2002 I was invited to come back to the DeMotte Library as a Clerk. After a co-worker left in July 2003, I was moved into a new position and became responsible for our periodicals.
My hobbies include reading, reading, and more reading. When I'm not reading, I may be completing jigsaw puzzles, word puzzles, attempting to sew a quilted wall-hanging, and watching television.
My husband and I enjoy going on trips taking back roads and discovering little towns & burgs. Stopping at used book stores is a must and antique malls are always a pleasurable diversion.

I can't believe it! I'm actually getting into the 21st century. It's pretty scary though since I'm leaving my comfort zone. I thought it was interesting that the word of the year for 2004 was "blog" and it took until 2007 for me to learn anything about it. I'm going to have to look up what the word of the year was for 2005 & 2006.
You know I feel really old next to the other kids and their cool blog. I do have to say we are doing good so far. :)
Yeah, pretty good. I'm going to try to change the look of my blog, however. We can't let them get ahead of us. Sometimes I feel like the tortoise in the race. I may seem to be going slower but I'll win in the end!
